We are living in unprecedented times for the arts education industry. Please be assured that the Allegro team is making the best decisions possible on a daily (and sometimes hourly) basis for students and employees.
Based on current information and recommendations available as of March 15, 2020 Allegro's current action plan in response to COVID-19 is as follows:
Online dance classes are now available through a combination of pre-recorded and live sessions!
We believe it’s important for dancers to continue to move their bodies, connect with peers and have things to look forward to in the future. Being part of a community is essential for all of us, and even more so in times of uncertainty.
Spring Dance Concert preparation will continue with the use of video and audio links through our website.
In addition to classes and SDC content, Allegro will be providing a variety of other educational opportunities, Q&A sessions, fun content, and activities to keep dancers connected during this non-traditional time in dance education.
It’s important to minimize fear and reduce worry that can ensue in circumstances such as these. Be cognizant of how you speak about COVID-19 in front of children. They are watching how adults handle this situation. The link below can be helpful in finding language for discussing the outbreak without instilling further fear. https://www.unicef.org/coronavirus/how-talk-your-child-about-coronavirus-covid-19
As we explore avenues and new ways to connect, we ask that you extend grace to Allegro. We are all in this together. Should you have further questions or need to touch base with Allegro staff, we encourage you to call us at 507-288-0125 or direct private chat Miss Stephanie or Miss Laura in TeamApp. As always, you can email us at: info@allegrodancemusic.com
